Liz Earle - Superskin Concentrate

Hello my lovelies, I am back and getting my shizzle on again with blogging, god I’ve missed it. There’s too much mumbo jumbo in my head……I need to release!

“Hey Mumbo….Mumbo Italiano”

On my trip to the Isle of Wight I was fortunate enough to get my hands on some Liz Earle goodies for which I will do a separate post on each lovely item, except the Skin Tonic and Cleanse and Polish, I already own these beauts and you can read my posts on these HERE and HERE.

The blurb from Lizzy baby:-

"The intense, aromatic blend of 100% pure plant oils in this rich, restoring night-time treat is suitable for all skin types. It helps to soften dry or mature skin and balance combination or oily skin. Use at night after cleansing and toning (but before moisturising). Naturally active ingredients include softening argan and organic rosehip oils, soothing neroli, lavender and chamomile essential oils plus antioxidant natural source vitamin E. Suitable for all skin types"

For those of you that have been with me from the beginning you will know that I have dry skin and for a while now I have been slathering on Bio Oil before I go to bed in a bid to hydrate it. This was working wonders so when I got Superskin by Liz Earle I thought fantastic, another face oil that I could give a whirl. Since owning this I have used it every night, I just pump out 2 pumps rub it between my fingers to warm it up then rub all over my face. A few ingredients are Avocado Oil, Rosehip Oil and Argan Oil to name but a few. For a full list of the ingredients please check out the Liz Earle Website.

One thing I have noticed since using this is it seems to have evened out my skin tone if that’s at all possible? I used to have a lot of pigmentation around my temples and above my eyebrows which, when I go out in the sun get darker. Superskin has nearly banished them completely. I’m so chuffed with it.

Swatches;- I realise these are pretty pointless photos but I wanted to try and show you the consistency, it's really lightweight and rubs into the skin beautifully. It does have quite a strong smell the same as Bio Oil is quite strong too but I'm used to it now.

I have taken a couple of reviews from Liz Earle website of other Superskin lovers!

“Superskin Concentrate is a wonderful product and saved my skin from drying out during 3 months in Australia (over the hottest time at Christmas). I used it every night after using Cleanse & Polish, Instant Boost Skin Tonic and finishing with Skin Repair for Dry skin. It is truly an amazing addition to the Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise routine. I am never without it. In fact the whole Superskin range is fantastic. I love the ethics of Liz Earle and have used the products for many years and will continue to do so”

“I Love this Superskin concentrate, can't live without it. I like the way it makes my skin soft and plump. My skin hasn't been great and have some breakouts caused by stress, This has helped even out my skin and clear my spot prone skin to. Highly recommend it. Liz Earle please please could you bring out an oil like this to use on the whole body, I Know you have Superskin body moisturiser but would also love an oil only body moisturiser. Love all you're other products too :)”

Superskin Concentrate retails at £37.80 for 28ml bottle, £18.40 for 10ml roller-ball and £5.35 for a 2ml

Liz Earle - Mask and Tonic

Hey girlies, as you know from my Cleanse and Polish post I am a massive Liz Earle fan. I’d read some amazing reviews about these 2 products so took the plunge and pur-chased.

Intensive Moisturising Treatment Mask

What they say
Problem: dry, dehydrated or stressed skin.

Solution: this deeply rehydrating ‘moisture’ mask will help to replenish, calm, condition and moisturise skin. Apply to face and neck and relax for 10-15 minutes. Naturally active ingredients include St John’s wort to soothe, borage to help lock in moisture and rose scented gernaium to help tone and balance “

How I use mine:
I use this mask once a week after using my Cleanse and Polish, I apply a thin even layer to my face, I don’t bother with my neck, if I did I’d go through it too quick. Lay back in the bath and relax, I probably only leave mine on for 10 mins but it’s enough after that I use my Instant Boost Skin Tonic (see below)

I bought the 50ml tube which was £12.25, you can buy this HERE.

Instant Boost Skin Tonic

What they say
“This heavenly floral-scented, non-drying toner refreshes, soothes and brightens your skin. Gentle and alcohol-free, it also adds a fine layer of moisture”

Pour onto a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck after using Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Naturally active ingredients include organic aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin”

How I use mine
I squidge a bit of the tonic (you don’t need a lot) onto a bit of cotton wool then wipe over my face and neck. This stuff has the best smell ever, it’s smells like clean babies, that gorgeous sweet smell. I use this after Cleanse and Polish and the weekly mask.

I really can see a difference in my skin too. I’m kicking myself now for not thinking about taking before and after pics!

Liz Earle do this in a range of sizes, I bought the 200ml bottle which cost £11.75 but if you wanted to try this without committing to the mls, then you could buy the 30ml spritzer for £4.85 or a 50ml bottle for £4.85?? Aye?? You do the math, I think I know which one I’d buy! You can buy these from HERE.

All in all I'm still loving Liz Earle, I think on my list next will be the Skin Repair Moisturiser for dy/sensitive skin.

I’m sure it will deliver just like the rest of the range. Bravo Liz Earle……Bravo

Liz Earle - Cleanse and Polish

Hey girls, just before Christmas I went into John Lewis on Oxford Street looking for one last present for Mum, I had just been paid so had to keep my eyes to the floor as I walked through the make up/fragrance section at the front of the store……..well I tried to anyway, when all of a sudden my eyes caught the pale green colour of Tiffany & Co, my head jerked up, my eyes took on a slanted look, like a panther on the prowl! Except it wasn’t Tiffers!! It was Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, right before my eyes, the starter kit everyone had been raving about in blogworld some months before. Suddenly it all made sense, of course Mum would love Cleanse and Polish as that last present. Hell, I would like Cleanse and Polish and what better person to try it out before she arrived…….ME!

Liz Earle website says;-
“We only make one cleanser because this formulation is the ultimate in concentrated yet gentle cleansing power and works on every age and skin type.

Our plant-based cleanser has a 2-phase action, phase 1 is the cleansing. Free from mineral oil, it has a rich and creamy texture and swiftly removes all traces of face and eye make-up, even stubborn mascara.

Phase 2 is the polishing. Polish off the cream using the pure muslin cloth to help gently dislodge dead skin cells and help reveal clean, soft and radiant skin.

Use morning and night with pure muslin cloths to reveal fresh, radiant skin.

Naturally active ingredients include eucalyptus and cocoa butter for smoother, clearer skin.

Suitable for all skin types”

How I use my Cleanse and Polish:-
• Fill sink with hand hot water, place lovely soft muslin cloth in the water.
• I use one large pump of the product on the tips of my fingers
• Massage onto dry skin including the eyes, not forgetting the neck too
• Wring out the water and softly wipe the product off your face, gently removing dead skin cells, to reveal clean, soft and radiant skin.
• Moisturise immediately, I use my new Oilatum Face Cream as recommended by Nic from Pixiwoo. (more detailed post to come).

What I love about this is you can open your eyes without worrying about the product stinging! We’ve all been there, holding our eyes shut tight with our hands out like Stevie Wonder trying to find that flannel/cloth/towel etc. Well not anymore! Open your eyes girlfriend! S’ok!!

Below are some reviews from Liz Earle Website I have to share with you.
“PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE SPOT PRONE SKIN OR EVEN MORE SEVERE ACNE THEN PLEASE TRY THIS, IT WILL HELP YOUR SKIN IN WAYS YOU CANNOT IMAGINE! I have very dry skin that a few months ago was covered in dreadful hormonal acne. I am an attractive woman who looks after my appearance and the change to my confidence and personality when the acne appeared was so dreadful that my GP was close to putting me on anti depressants. In a nut shell this has transformed my skin and the acne is virtually gone. I feel I have my life back and the joy is overwhelming, Even with my very dry skin, this, unlike every other product I have tried is just so wonderful on my skin and it has left it glowing and radiant. To actually receive compliments on my skin now is so outrageous considering what it used to look like! Give this 6 weeks, please and your skin will be transformed. I have to add that I have since started using the tonic and brightening mask, both that have enhanced my skin in a way I just never ever thought possible. Thank you Liz Earle from the bottom of my heart! I am me again and loving it!” sianfrost 18 November 2010

“I adore this product; I have been using the Liz Earle products for many years. A little while ago I used an alternative high street brand. Big mistake, my skin became dry, was not clear and bright and a few spots returned. Now returned to Liz Earle and almost instant results with clearer and brighter skin, even my husband noticed. I will not be tempted to try anything else again, I shall stick with this one as it really does make a difference. Just gorgeous products which are on my Christmas list”
Sharon Poulton 22 October 2010

Amazing huh, there's over 500 reviews for this stuff on there so if you need more recommendations you can take a look for yourselves HERE.

I have been using this product for just under 2 weeks and I’ve noticed a big difference already. No more dry flaky skin, just smooth silky skin that I want to show off! I would love to try out the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser after my Oilatum has run out; there are loads of reviews about this moisturiser on the web. Nobody at work has noticed a difference in my skin but then they wouldn’t because I work on a building site (in the office) and most of my colleagues are men!

Not only am I fast becoming a massive Liz Earle fan, Liz Earle head office is based in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, which happens to be where my Mum and family live, where I grew up and where a lot of my friends are. This is fate, it’s meant to be!

You can buy the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Starter Kits HERE, they are £13.25 each and you will receive 100ml bottle of cleanser and 2 pure muslin cloths. They also do a 50ml starter kit for £8.45 if you wanted to try a smaller bottle before taking the plunge and falling in love!

Have any of you tried Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish? Is it your new best friend?
