LUSH - Satsumo Santa - Review

Hello lovelies! I hope you all had a good weekend. After my disgust at the Lil Lush Pud (read my post HERE) I knew this little beauty was going to be good. I’d seen a couple of tweets about it on Twitter and seen a couple of reviews on it too.

Ahhhh aint he cute!

This bath bomb to me is the perfect blend that I love and the colour my bath went was unreal! I love the way Lush describe this on their website too “A British fusion of an orange in the bottom of your Christmas stocking, and the Japanese tradition of splitting a yuzu orange and putting it in your bathwater at Winter Solstice.”

Look at that orangey goodness!

I can’t help but mention my beloved Dragons Egg whenever I do a LUSH post but Santa and the Egg have the same citric scents that just make me want to dive straight in. To me Santa wasn’t that moisturising on my skin and did leave me feeling a little dry but I go through moisturiser like no ones business so that’s not a problem. The Dragons Egg does have a gorgeous soft silky feel to it, I missed that with the ballistic/bomb.

Now this is the kinda bath I want to jump in!

It’s a shame the Satsumo Santa is only around at Christmas, I would definitely think about purchasing this one throughout the year. Can’t they make it into a ball? I’m not sure how much these retail for because they are a Christmas item and I got mine as part of a gift set. If you know then please let me know below.

Counting down the days until I can get another one of these and Christmas of course!

Lil Lush Pud = no thanks, I'll pass!

Hello gorgeous girlies (and fellas if there are any). Much to my dislike Christmas is well and truly over for another year. I got two exact same Lush gift sets from Darren ♥ and his Mum ♥ and they had spoken about it! Doughnuts! Anyway I’m not complaining because as some of you are aware I am a bit partial to a lush bath.

The lil Lush pud screams Christmas to me because a; it looks like one of my favourite desserts and b; it does smell LUSH! (see what I did there?) just like all my favourite things at Christmas. This is the second Christmas bath bomb from Lush that I dislike, read my post on Cinders HERE. I was so disappointed with it as you can see from my photos, it doesn’t exactly make you want to get in it. As usual I had a passing comment from Darren ♥ saying my bath looked like s**t and it would get me more dirty than clean.

Beautiul isn't it! - NOT!

I don’t usually write bad things about Lush but I have to say this was a major disappointment, I didn’t even stay in it that long. Give me the normal bath bombs over the Christmas ones any day!

The remains of the holy, this was floating around in the bath - YUK!

I got two of these Lil Lush puds and tried palming the other one off on Darren ♥ but he was having none of it.

Am I alone in this? Are there any other Pud haters?

Cinders Bath Bomb - LUSH

Hello my lovelies! I have officially finished work now and in full on relax mode. Darren ♥ and I popped to Westfield last weekend and I ran into LUSH to pick up my beloved Dragons Egg and couldn’t help dropping a Cinders in my basket too. The bags LUSH are using at the minute have to be my favourite, candy canes! So cute.

This bomb is heavily laced with cinnamon leaf oil, almond oil and even has popping candy in middle of it. A bath with sound effects! These bath bombs are slightly smaller than the dragons egg and a little cheaper at only £1.95 per ball but they still deliver having said that I wouldn’t repurchase. It was nice, but it just doesn’t come close to my Dragons Egg, read my post on it HERE.

There I was floating away reading the last chapter of my book (Call me Madam, if you’re wondering) Darren walked past, stopped, came in the bathroom and told me my bath looked like wee! How charming! I have to admit I was thinking it as I stepped in! Yuk hahaha!

Are you a lover or a hater of Cinders? It was just ok for me

LUSH - Golden Wonder

Hey dollz! On my recent shopping trip to Westfields (I’m going again on Saturday!) I popped into LUSH to grab myself a Dragons Egg, you can read my full post on this gorgeous bath bomb HERE.

The SA also made me get this new Christmas bath bomb; Golden Wonder. I love that it already looks like a little present itself and it kind of was, a little present from me to me. I was sold on the fact it had glitter in it (just like my beloved Dragons Egg) and the promise of stars pouring out of it! I was a little bit disappointed that the stars didn’t hang around a bit longer, they dissolved. This bath bomb fizzes into action immediately, the gold quickly turned to blue then to green with a gorgeous fine glitter shot through it.

Look at the pretty stars and goldness - Ahhhhh

Nothing like a good soak to wash the day away!

I wallowed in it like the beast I am, sucking up the fresh orangey/limey smell, relaxing with a good book. This was short lived, for those of you that have been with me for a while will know that my other half is a bit partial to a LUSH bath too. He took one look at my golden green bath with floating stars and stripped naked, plunging his size 12’s into my bath. Which was now ‘our bath’. What Joy! =D

One tip I do have for you though to avoid a royal rollicking like me, make sure you wash the bath out after, we both forgot (which of course was my fault) and had to put some serious elbow grease into cleaning the damn thing.

Pick one of these up ASAP before they go out of stock because they are seriously good. I still have my Dragons Egg for this weekend. Fingers crossed Darren ♥ is at work!

You can buy Golden Wonder from LUSH HERE.

LUSH - Dragons Egg - PIC HEAVY

Hey girls, I bought my first Dragons Egg back in March and since then have purchased 2 more, I went in asking for ‘something that made me go WOW’. The SA got it bang on because this really is a sight to behold.

I loved the way it rolled around my bath hatching and giving birth (ooo eer), it’s colours and refreshing scents of lemon really did make me want to jump in it straight away, alas I waited for the whole thing to dissolve and couldn’t resist grabbing the glittery goodness before that too dissolved.

The pot of gold!!

#
Look at the gorgeous gold ripples!

LUSH blurb:
“As you bathe in the whirlpool of vibrant, fiery colour and inhale the refreshing sherbet scent of lemon and bergamot, you'll feel like you're up and away on the back of your own dragon. Citrus oils are known for their invigorating effect on the mind and Dragon's Egg is no exception! Drop one of these baby dragons in the bath for a serious wake-up call on groggy mornings or before evenings out.”

I don’t know about you but I just about have time to Cleanse and Polish in the morning let alone have a bath before work, I’m out the door at 6.50am most mornings but yes defo before a night out. After having a Dragons Egg bath my skin was super soft and moisturised I was shimmering from head to toe because of the gold glitter too.

The aftermath of my Dragons Egg!
I can’t pass a LUSH store without picking one of these bad boys up and I’m getting to be quite the bath snob too, if I don’t have any LUSH goodies in hiding somewhere then I’ll just have a shower! Ha! I love my baths, but they just ain’t the same without some sort of LUSH product bobbing away before I plop in!

Check out the Dragons Egg on LUSH website HERE.

Who else has tried this bath bomb? Are you hooked too?

LUSH – Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds!

Hello my darlings! Some of you may remember that a while back Darren ♥ bought me the Think Pink gift set from LUSH, click HERE to read my post. Well as the weeks passed I realised that I wasn’t the only one with a ‘thing’ for LUSH. Most days Dal ♥ would ask me ‘what’s in the LUSH box for Dals ♥ bath?’

So I thought a trip to LUSH was in order to buy him something of his own and to keep his mitts out of my gift set. The lovely SA in LUSH at Liverpool Street steered me towards the blue and ‘manly’ looking things and as soon as I smelt this it was heaven. Now I know I was supposed to be shopping for Dal ♥ but I couldn’t wait to jump in one of these baths. Like The Comforter this baby is big enough to chop into 4 for 4 (fff!) baths so I knew I’d get a look in.

This bath bomb has one of my favourite ingredients in it – Patchouli Oil which to me smells like posh mud, if that makes sense. It takes me back to when I used to work in my Mums ♥ shop when I was 15 and this woman used to come in smelling like a nice gardner(?), in the end Mum ♥ had to ask her what it was she was wearing, it’s all we could smell around the shop.

As usual I like to ask Darren ♥ his view of this product as he did have the first bath out of it and it’s only fair really:-

S: Dal what did you think of this bath? Give me more than “It was blue”
D: It was hot and blue

Well I can highly recommend this lush product from LUSH! It’s super relaxing and the smell lingers on in the bathroom for ages. I would say it lingered on Darren ♥ but he’s a boy and we all know that boys don’t smell nice for very long huh!

Note to the Mothership (that’s you Mumma ♥): I will bring you one of these posh mud bath bombs when I come over next.

♥ To my lovely followers, I'm on my hols at the minute but will reply to all of your comments on my return ♥

LUSH - The Comforter Bubble Bar

Hey girlies, sorry I've been MIA this week, we had an audit at work, back on top form now though. A few weeks ago Darren ♥ bought me the Think Pink giftset from LUSH which I blogged about HERE.

What LUSH say:-
“This fruity bubble bar gives the feeling of being hugged by a jolly blackcurrant. When life is getting you down, crumble The Comforter under hot, running water for purple water and creamy bubbles. The warm aroma of cassis absolute is relaxing so relaxing that you'll go to bed feeling happier and the world will seem brighter the next day”

In the giftset you get a massive 200g bar which the SA told Darren ♥ could be cut into 4, I was a little unsure of this but from doing this with other bath bombs (well cut into 2) I decided to listen to her, I’m so glad I did, just look at all the bubbles you get from one little quarter of this baby!

Darren ♥ has used more of this giftset than I have so it seems only right that I should ask him for a few words about his latest bath using The Comforter.

S: Darren how was your bath?
D: It was pink.

What you can’t see in this picture is Darren ♥ hoping from one foot to the other like a small excited child waiting to get in his bath. Telling me to ‘hurry up’.

If you haven’t tried this from LUSH please do, and let me know that you love it too! After using a quarter for my very own bath I ♥ it so much, it's a repurchase for me for sure

Special Thanks to Darren ♥ for your input in this post!

LUSH - Think Pink Hatbox giftset

Hey girlies, Darren ♥ bought me this as a present just because he loves me! Aahhhh he’s the best.

Darren ♥ knows I’m a massive LUSH fan, I sat on the floor and got everything out sniffing each item, then came the difficult decision of which one to use for my bath the next day! **

In this gift set there are 11 items in total, I’ve tried the Fair Trade Foot lotion before but the rest were new to me, I couldn’t wait to get started on them.

What’s inside the box?

100g Fair Trade Foot Lotion
65g Happy Blooming Bath Melt
Sex Bomb Bath Ballistic
100g Melting Marshmallow Moments Bath Melt
100g Sugar Babe Sugar Scrub
45g Helping Hands Han Cream (not too keen on the whiff of this)
Think Pink Bath Ballistic
100g Rock Star Soap
Twilight Bath Ballistic
100g Creamy Candy Bubble Bar
200g The Comforter Bubble Bar

This set retails at £39.95, I think this is such good value for money. I love how everything is packed inside too all the foamy things and it all smelt so good!

I decided to use the Melting Marshmallow Moment out the set first, as you can see from my picture it made the bath a lovely faint colour of pink with a silky foam all around it. The smell was to die for, I think I could have possibly got away with breaking this bad boy in half but decided to use the whole thing. I grabbed my magazine off the side and that was me for well over half an hour. I would definitely be repurchasing this.

Are there any of your favourites in this set? Which products shall I use next?

You can buy the Think Pink Hatbox from LUSH HERE

** Just to clarify; I bath or shower daily and had already scrubbed prior to receiving this gift.

Another LUSH Haul

Hey girls, I’m getting addicted to LUSH! Me and lil Sis were wandering through Liverpool Street station on our way through to Boots when that LUSH smell woofted (yes it is a word lol) up my nostrils and pulled us in. Below is what I bought.

Sugar scrubs, I’ve blogged about these before you can read it HERE. I can’t live without these scrubs, they leave my skin feeling so silky smooth and I love the scent. Also great for cellulite! *happy dance*

Floating Island Bath Bomb, after reading Laura’s post over at BIG CITY DREAMS, she convinced me that I needed to try this, so popped this into my basket too. I told Darren ♥ that I had a lovely bath bomb to use for my bath that night, he said I never bought him any bath bombs, so I spilt my Floating Island in half so he could have a go too. He told me I was the “bestest” lol. This bath bomb was so nice, it had a lovely oily texture to it that left my skin really soft

You can't see much in this picture, I was trying to get the bomb fizzing and it was only half a bomb.

Dream Cream, I read various blogs about this miracle cream. Louise over at ***Sprinkle of Glitter*** blogged about it HERE. I love Louise, her blogs are funny and very interesting, hence me buying Dream Cream from her recommendation! Lil Sis suffers with eczema all over her body, she wasn’t convinced about Dream Cream when I told her about it, but a trip to LUSH and 2 sample pots later, she gave it a go. It left her skin feeling soft and if she got into a routine with it, using it every night then I think she would see more results. However she and her partner are night owls, having late nights all the time and she hasn’t quite got the benefits from Dream Cream just yet. I, on the other hand, have got the benefits. My Dad ♥ and my aunt both suffer from Psoriasis, mainly on the elbows and knees. Over the last few months I have noticed itchy patches appearing on my elbows, they’re no where near what my Dad ♥ and aunts are like. I apply Dream Cream every night to these patches and it really works. It calms the skin so it’s not so itchy and the next day it doesn’t affect me at all. I am making an appointment with the Doc to check it out anyway as it could be something I’m eating that is causing it to break out but for now this really is a Dream Cream and will certainly be in my life for good.

Have any of you tried Dream Cream or Floating Island Bath Melt? Let me know your thoughts

My First Ever Lush Haul

I imagine you reading that title with a puzzled look on your face. It’s true, I can’t use anything too harsh in the bath as I have quite sensitive skin. But, after reading somewhere about the advantages to one particular shampoo I was intrigued. So off I stroll to Lush and these are my buys, yes I said buys. I got totally sucked in by the Lush smell (pun intended). Also picked up a copy of the Lush Times which I caught my boyfriend reading! lol

BIG Shampoo

This is incredible! I use this Shampoo once a week and usually at the weekend when I have more time to dry my hair properly. The first time I used it I think I used too much lol I was nearly lost in bubbles! My hair was super shiny and felt so soft and clean to touch. The second time, I used a little less product and put my hair in big velcro rollers for added volume, it looked amazing, if I do say so myself.

*Kicks self for not taking a photo*

Lush Website Quote

“Sea salt shampoo for shine, softness and big endowments. This pot of oceanic goodness is 50% sea salt to give limp hair the volume it deserves, with seaweed infusion to soften hair and citrus juices for shine. After using Big, your hair will be bouncing back to life.”

Bubblegum Lip Scrub

As I was paying for BIG I noticed this cute little pink pot of ‘stuff’, so picked it up and gave it a whiff and OMG! - heaven. The Lush assistant said to try it on my lips then lick it off, well that had me hooked, a lip scrub that you can eat. YUM! It’s a lovely girly pink colour and is now a firm fixture in my handbag.

Lush Website Quote

“Our fabulous lip scrubs are here to keep your kissers sweet. This one will make your lips smell like our best-selling Snow Fairy shower gel. Bubblegum is made with exfoliating castor sugar and our delicious vegan flavour to gently scrub away rough skin, keeping your lips smooth and kissably soft. Simply rub it over your lips when they're feeling the need for some sugar”
Sugar Scrub

Now this product was a bit of an impulse buy, as I walked in Lush my eyes caught the word ‘cellulite’ so after speaking to the assistant I also purchased one of these. I have to say it is one of my favourite products along with BIG. I have quite rough skin on my thighs and back of my upper arms and this sugar scrub works a treat. It left my skin feeling ever so smooth and I could have got away without moisturising but did moisturise because leaving a bit out would have been just weird really. ;o)

Lush Website Quote

“Our Sugar Scrub is hard, but a bit of a sweetie. Its no nonsense stance stimulates activity and tackles cellulite with fennel and ginger. Skin calming lavender has a balancing effect. Get yourself wet in the shower or bath, but don't let the bar get under the running water or it'll be lost before it can prove itself. Scrub, scrub, scrub and rinse away. It doesn't waste any time getting down to business”

I have nearly used all the Sugar scrub and I’m pretty sure my other half has had a sneaky go at it too, I don’t mind though, if it means I get to visit Lush again. I am definitely converted!

Long Live Lush!!
Is BIG one of your lush products?
